Snapshots from my academic journey

My Time at YorkU

As a student in the Honours Disaster and Emergency Management program, I am trained in planning, analysis, and coordination across all phases of the emergency management cycle, with a strong emphasis on all-hazards and community-based approaches. I have developed experience in creating risk assessments, developing grant proposals, and business continuity planning, supporting informed decision-making and operational resilience. Through my academic work, I produce professional-standard documentation, including After Action Reports and research-based analyses, and I am particularly interested in how effective planning and coordination strengthen communities before, during, and after emergencies.

Primary | Secondary

My experiences throughout primary and secondary school played a key role in shaping my character and values. In the classroom, I learned responsibility, independence, and accountability, while developing strong work habits and a sense of personal discipline. Outside of school, participating in hockey, soccer, and cross-country reinforced teamwork, commitment, and resilience, and helped me build lasting friendships and hobbies. Alongside these experiences, I was recognized as an Ontario Scholar in 2019 and 2021 and completed my French Immersion Certificate upon graduating from Aurora High School.
